Founding Director
Peter Lacey
Peter is a founding partner in WSP having been active in consultancy work since the late 1990s. He has a General Management background with commercial and voluntary sector experience before joining the Health Service at a Regional Health Authority in 1990. He has led work of both local and national significance in strategic planning in health and care systems over the past 20+ years with a focus on integration and on enabling local solutions through the use of systems modelling and associated analytics.
Peter plays an active role in the System Dynamics community in the UK and internationally and has developed a wide range of expertise in the use of simulation and modelling in support of strategic consultancy projects. He has led the WSP team in developing a distinctive and innovative approach to melding the areas of population health needs, service planning and workforce transformation.
Managing Director
Mark Gregson
Mark started with WSP in 2018 following completion of a Darzi fellowship in clinical leadership and when he became experienced in system thinking and modelling. He has an advanced clinical background from across the NHS and has been involved in health education planning and development for over 10 years.
Mark is also Senior Lecturer at University of Huddersfield, and has a Masters in Health Studies. He has led countless projects in demand and capacity planning, and workforce developments, providing valuable insights for clients.

Helen Bourner
Helen joined WSP in 2020 and brings a wealth of experience from working in the public and private sectors.
In the NHS Helen has held a number of Board Director positions with responsibility for areas such as business development, business planning, strategy, communications and IT.
Her focus for WSP is project governance, stakeholder engagement and managing project delivery. She has led system wide executive and clinical stakeholder engagement, using a variety of approaches including multi-professional workshops to ensure system-wide participation in the projects WSP delivers.
Helen has a Masters in Health Service Studies from the University of Leeds.
Head of Modelling and Insight
Aaron Bhavsar
Aaron joined the NHS as an analyst for a large acute trust in 2008 working on RTT and waiting list data, diagnostics, radiology & ED. After a period in the private sector he returned to the NHS in 2021 focussing on an ICS wide elective recovery program alongside WSP and immediately saw the potential for System Dynamics in the NHS.
After a stint as NHS Norfolk & Waveney ICB’s Senior Modelling Analyst Aaron joined WSP developing models to help clients understand problems and answer what if’s across different areas. Aaron has also undertaken the HSMA in Data Science & Operational Research and is a member of the International System Dynamics Society.
